California Shapefile Projector
Download now (300kb zip) | New 01/22/2003 This ArcView extension allows the user to re-project shape files between many of the commonly found California Projections (Albers, UTM 10, UTM 11, State Plane zones 1 - 7, and Geographic). Extension will also perform a NADCON transformation (NAD 27 - NAD 83) and allows the user to select units (meters or feet).
This version (version 2.1) allows batch projection of all shapefiles in a user specified directory. This version also builds a spatial index and adds a ".prj" file to each projected shapefile. Finally, this version also recalculates standard fields such as area, length, and acreage.
To use this extension, download the CalProjector.zip file and unzip it to an empty directory (e.g., "c:\aaa"). Once you have unzipped it, read the readme.txt file for installation instructions.
| NCNCR Tools
Download now (310kb zip) | This extension includes a variety of functions and utilities that are commonly used in the Northern California - North Coast Region. This is the full version which takes a while to download due to the size of a data file that accompanies the "Locate Feature" function. If your download speed is slow, I would suggest that you download and use the "Lite" Version of this extension (See Below).
To use this extension, download the NCNCRTools.zip file and unzip it to an empty directory (e.g., "c:\aaa"). Once you have unzipped it, read the readme.txt file for installation instructions.
| RouteTools Extension (2.1)
Download now (120kb zip) | The RouteTools extension was developed by Eric Haney CDFG-NCNCR to enable the rapid development of stream event information. The tools are designed to allow users to collect geographic referencing information (events) that can be related to any survey information, observation data, or stream attribute information (e.g., habitat data).
This tool is designed to work with statewide routed hydrography data that can be freely downloaded from the CalFish website.

Link to website. | This is a very powerful ArcView Extension developed by Mike DeLaune at Oregon Deparment of Forestry (ODF) that provides an excellent variety of ArcView Tools. Obtain from ODF.
