CDWR Water Data Library (WDL)

Introduction

The purpose of this data set is to show locations of continuous and discrete water quality monitoring and to link back to a database of detailed water quality information that is available for download.

The CDWR WDL site is the definitive source for station location data and will include any stations added after May 24, 2012. To view a map with a complete and up to date collection of station locations and to access additional information please visit the WDL site. In the map available from the WDL website continuous sites are Site Type = Continuous Data and discrete sites are Site Type = Water Quality.

Map Viewer
Yes - Layer name: CDWR WDL Stations

When using the map viewer, you will be prompted to either login with your state username and password, or use the public BIOS viewer. All CalFish layers are public layers and do not require a special log-in or state credentials.

CalFish Tabular Data
WDL tabular data for a location of interest must be accessed through the WDL site. A WDR page with data specific to a station of interest can be accessed through the CalFish map viewer using the link field in the station's attributes. Or visit the WDL site to choose between a variety of options for querying WDL tabular data.

CalFish Data Downloads
No - The network of CDWR WDL stations displayed in the CalFish map viewer represent the stations as of a specific date. Since stations may have been added since that date we recommend that you visit the WDL Station Map to view a complete collection of station locations.
