Introduction
The California Legacy Project is an initiative by the California Resources Agency to help state agencies and the state's conservation partners make better decisions about how to conserve precious natural resources. This Public, Conservation and Trust Lands data set was part of a number of geographic data sets developed for this initiative, and is intended to provide stakeholders in both the public and private sectors with a planning-level representation of ownership in California. The 1:100,000 scale feature class depicts ownership features as submitted by major public, trust, and non-profit groups in the state.
